If I was living in the 1950s and you asked me to imagine what women would be interested in wearing in the future and design a collection for 2012, it would be this Rodarte collection: bold eyes, lady-like silhouettes, metallic prints, and ultra-feminine flower embellishments. However, a lot has changed since the 1950s and I’m not so much interested in such a literal look at the past masked with a shiny cover. For me, power elements and the cool girl factor are missing here. Your view? Did you find this collection successful?
