overhaul on overalls

from in to fashion faux-paux to in again, overalls are certainly part of the circle of fashion life. i'm not mad about their resurgence, especially done in a chic way. what do you think? over overalls or into it? happy monday :-) xo, mary

i get very inspired by one of my very own... fashion bloggers! here's some looks i'm digging: the oh-so-true "pretty tomboy" T paired nicely with a fitted high low mini (songofstyle.) a splash of kurt-cobain inspired plaid worn in pristine white (chicmuse.) the summer version of the pajama style dressing designed by lovers + friends (worn by chiara of theblondesalad.) the ease of lightweight cottons in all white is summer perfect (so effortless displayed by karlascloset.) are you sensing a theme here... white on white and matchy matchy? that's all she wrote!

Marilyn monroe and bridget bardot donned it with massive sex appeal while goldie hawn gave it an american sweetheart vibe. Anna Wintour pulls it off as chic while Linda evangelista made it supermodel super. I say Gingham's been around the block. And we still want more. Some things avoid the dreaded expiration date and are timelessly cool. Cheers to that notion. So, who wears it best?
