making the right statement

the car in front of me had a bumper sticker that read: “I’m a b*%^h, just not yours.” The "b*%^h" driving the car? a small middle-aged man with thick glasses. haha. perhaps he wasn’t making the right statement here. one way to definitely give a good impression is to carry one of these beautiful textured *statement* bags. The details, shapes and colors are so fun. what do you think?

the day of rest

My catholic upbringing tells me Sunday is the day of rest. Life has provided alternative meanings: All you can eat Sunday (coined by my seriously hung-over friend), Sunday Funday (invented by those who refuse to stop partying), Sunday kind of love (Etta James’ lyrical genius – being with yo man!) My new definition: Sunday Style Summary. Now say that five times fast. Just kidding! Here are some favorites from the week. What did you most enjoy this week? How do you spend your Sundays?

 I love radiohead and this remix is very cool (highly recommended!). The simple chic outfit on right is totally something I would wear (via net-a-porter).

The blogger at columbine smille has a really strong, classy and feminine style that I adore! 

these heavenly pics are from istanbul (and via honestly, wtf.) i find the pattern and colors in the first pic divine and the second shot, i mean, it's simply incredible.

here's a cheerful and playful orange pleated skirt on *intrique me now* -it's a fun one. :-) and to the right Chiara is wearing some great tortoise shell sunnies by Elizabeth and James (via theblondesalad.com)

Fall fashion gives a nod to the fellas about town with the ladies suiting up and adopting tuxedo dressing. The feminine touches and fabric choices bring yin to the yang and make the look undeniably sexy. A smart sexy.  Putting this together reminded me of the old-school blood vial wearing, kissing-her-brother Angelina Jolie at the Oscars in the white suit (I included a flashback here!). All-white, all-black, and black & white ensembles are also so on point at the moment. Do you like?
