mr. wang does pre fall
say hello to the pre fall 2012 collections of t by alexander wang and alexander wang. below are my top picks. i'm feeling a very 90s minimal vibe - think kate moss circa dating johnny depp :-) he always seems to make clothes for the coolest girl you know (besides yourself, of course!) what do you think?

ChloƩ Cutie-Pies
ChloƩ's S/S 2012 runway presented an effortless chic woman wearing flowing pleated frocks colored in beautiful torquoises and bright corals mixed with shades of nude and white. The girls were styled with simple pretty hair parted in the middle and minimal accessories. Very easy and beautiful, indeed!

And just because this was too cute to resist, some shots of the major cutie-pies from the ChloƩ Fall/Winter 2011 Children's Collection campaign. So adorable!!

the power-dressing snake charmer
Alber Elbaz doesn’t mess around dressing this no-nonsense smart woman with snake charming abilities. I’m loving his outlook for the Lavin S/S 2012 collection: Minimal, modern, chic, and as always, playful surprises with twinkles of joy!

Prada LOVE
i mean, could it be any better? the raceway theme displayed in cars and fire-like prints is so expectedly quirky and beautiful. Miuccia Prada is always full of contractions and has perfected the exquisite balancing act of mature but young and fresh; sweet but aggressive and totally badass; exposed but covered up and proper; effortless but completely fashionable and special.
the shoes and sunglasses? yes, please! what do you think? are you a fan?

50’s Futuristic Lady: Rodarte S/S RTW 2012
If I was living in the 1950s and you asked me to imagine what women would be interested in wearing in the future and design a collection for 2012, it would be this Rodarte collection: bold eyes, lady-like silhouettes, metallic prints, and ultra-feminine flower embellishments. However, a lot has changed since the 1950s and I’m not so much interested in such a literal look at the past masked with a shiny cover. For me, power elements and the cool girl factor are missing here. Your view? Did you find this collection successful?
