Let’s be real, LA, you're pretty fake.

The clever billboard campaign of cliché break-up lines throughout LA is the brainchild of artist and graphic designer Jon Jackson, to signify his move from Los Angeles. The good news is that when he returns, nothing will have changed; there will still be tacky blondes with boob jobs, fish lips, the homeless dude on rollerblades, and hipsters dressing like the homeless dude on rollerblades. If he does go back, I suggest he make it today before all the good stuff sells out at the Barney’s warehouse sale. It kicked off on Saturday so get there now! Happy shopping!!

better late then never

Two years ago I envisioned ankle boots in my head and complimenting outfits. My search for them proved futile. Until yesterday when they magically appeared out of the blue. And by the blue, I mean Nordstrom’s. I’m not really sure if I still wanted them but they are super comfortable…. so say hello to my new booties. :-)

garden glory

The garden has peaked in ripe deliciousness and so has my happiness along with it! I grew up eating fresh veggies and herbs and this summer is no different. The tomatoes are truly on another level. Here are some pics of its glory and my home-made risotto using zucchini, tomatoes, and basil (all from the garden). Ok, I was completely obsessed with zucchini; it’s such a mild pleasant vegetable that can be used in almost anything (salads, pastas, soups, breads, cake!) There is nothing like natural whole foods. My body says yes, please!
